Families,
SDUSD will administer an abbreviated version of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) during the current school year. Muirlands CAASPP testing calendar can be found by clicking this link. (link available once new schedule is established)

Some items are being finalized between SDUSD and the California Department of Education regarding CAASPP testing. Muirlands has been advised to postpone testing until a later date. We will comply with this recommendation and will not begin CAASPP testing, as scheduled, on April 5. Please continue to monitor our school website and your phone/email messages from the school for updates.

As we move towards CAASPP testing, we want to ensure that all students have downloaded the necessary secure browser on their devices.

Personal Chromebooks will not work for testing (only school-issued Chromebooks). If your student is using a personal Chromebook, please contact our librarian, Lori Vintika lvintika@sandi.net, to get a District machine.

Please follow these steps to install the correct browser:

  • If your student uses a district-provided Chromebook, they will use the AIR Secure Test Application Version 7. Your district computer will automatically update once you fully turn it off and then restart the device. You can check to see whether or not the device has been updated by:
  1. Open and power on the student device--DO NOT LOG ON
  2. Select the 3 x 3 “waffle” labeled “Apps” in the device’s bottom left-hand corner.

  • If your student is NOT using a district provided computer, you will need to download the appropriate browser for your computer's operating system. The links are below.
