As a reminder, beginning on April 21, our state testing window for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) opens at Muirlands. Students will take their grade-specific CAASPP assessment. These assessments are in English Language Arts, math, and 8th grade science. If possible, please avoid making appointments for your students during their testing periods.

Information regarding the specific assessments is below:
- Smarter Balanced assessment for English Language Arts and mathematics in grades three through eight, and grade eleven (3-8 & 11). The Smarter Balanced assessments utilize computer-adaptive tests and performance tasks that allow students to show what they know and are able to do in English language arts and mathematics.
- California Science Test (CAST). The CAST is an online test based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (CA NGSS).
