New Student Online Enrollment
ONLINE ENROLLMENT OPEN FOR THE 2026–2027 SCHOOL YEAR
This platform is for new student enrollments, which includes:
- Enrollment for new students in neighborhood K-12 schools
- Re-enrollment for students who are returning to the district from a different school system (charter, private, homeschool, or out of state, etc.)
- Enrollment for new students offered and accepting seats through School Choice
- Enrollment for new out-of-district families accepted via School Choice
You will be required to upload the following documents during the online enrollment process:
- Child’s Birth certificate, baptismal certificate, or passport
- Current proof of residency (such as an SDG&E bill, rental agreement, or mortgage document)
- Current immunization record (for the most up-to-date requirements, please visit the SDUSD Nursing and Wellness/immunization requirements)
- Most recent report card or transcript
- IEP or 504 plan, if applicable
ONLINE STUDENT ENROLLMENT FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2025-2026
If you are the parent or guardian of a new or returning student to San Diego Unified and wish to enroll for the 2025–2026 school year, you may do so through the Online Student Enrollment portal. Please note that this portal may only be used to enroll your student in their assigned neighborhood school. To help identify your neighborhood school, please use SchoolFinder.
Please do not use this platform if your child is currently enrolled in SDUSD in grades TK–11.
If your child is currently enrolled in an SDUSD school, please email the following documents to [email protected]:
- Birth certificate
- Proof of residence (recent SDG&E bill, mortgage statement, or lease/rental agreement)
- Immunization record
- Current transcript or report card
- IEP or 504 Plan, if applicable
