23-24 Nomination and Election Timeline for Parent Representatives to SSC/SGT

We have 3 parent/community member vacancies for our School Site Council and Site Governance Team.

Site Governance Team: The SGT at Muirlands Middle School is composed of representatives from the teaching staff, the classified staff, parents, community members, students and the principal. The role of the Site Governance Team is to provide a forum for examination of issues relating to Muirlands Middle School. The development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and policies of Muirlands Middle School fall within the purview of the Governance Team.

School Site Council: The Muirlands SSC is a decision-making group that provides oversight on matters dealing with federally- and state-funded programs: Economic Impact Aid-State Compensatory Education, Economic Impact Aid-Limited English Proficient, Title I, Title I Parent Involvement and Quality Education Investment Act programs.

La Jolla Cluster: For more information about the La Jolla Cluster Association, go to lajollacluster.com. It is required that you have one year of volunteering experience in any of our cluster schools. This could be anything from helping in the classrooms to being a president of one of the parent groups. A parent representative has to attend two meetings a month.
